Blue Ridge Energy serves approximately 78,000 consumers in Northwest North Carolina including Caldwell, Watauga, Ashe, Alleghany, Wilkes, Avery and Alexander counties. The Cooperative is part of the Touchstone Energy network of cooperatives providing electricity and related services to over 30 million members across the nation.
Blue Ridge Energy, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Blue Ridge Energy which provides propane, heating fuels, and propane gas hearth products. Ranked in the top 50 propane energy providers in the country. Blue Ridge Energy, LLC provides assistance and personal touch service and has a dedicated staff of 38 employees.
RidgeLink, LLC, is a limited liability company formed to help Blue Ridge Energy provide value to its membership by more fully utilizing the fiber optic system the cooperative has put in place for its electric system. RidgeLink is a telecommunication service currently available to business applications only and has been granted a certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity by the North Carolina Utilities Commission to serve as a Competitive Local Provider (CLP).
